4 powers promised by mantra practice

 Significance of a mantra

Benefits of mantra

From ancient times mantras are being practised all over the globe 🌍 .used to calm the mind, mantra training is one of the most important rituals in the spiritual process.

Mantras do not only mean reversing a verse from scriptures or religious texts, It just means constant, continuous and deliberate repetition of a positive phrase. The daily affirmations can be called mantras.

What is a mantra?

Chanting mantra
A Mantra is a sacred utterance believed to have
religious, magical, and spiritual powers in eastern religions.

Man -mind, tra-engaging, so mantra means that which engages the mind.
Is our mind not engaged now? the problem is that it is engaged in too many random thoughts, making the mind dirty as water and u can not see what lies beneath it if the water is not clear. That too at high speed, research shows that on an average we have 60,000thoughts PER DAY. finding a phrase and repeating it, again and again,  will slow down the speed of thoughts.

4 powers of mantras

1. build concentration

Mantra benefits

When u start repeating a word or sentence you are giving your mind something to focus on. It means a break from random, useless thoughts. over the period, the mind gets habitual with being with one thought and not getting distracted easily.

Now, this concentration can be used to study and assimilation which depends on the focus which we have already built through the practice of mantra.

Buddha said, ignorance is the cause of suffering and how one can remove ignorance, by the opposite energy which is knowledge 📗. Which is one of the most important paths in spiritual life called Gyan yoga(the path of knowledge). swami Vivekananda is a firm believer of this path and suggests for the higher revelation of our true nature.

And the focus is indeed necessary for absorption and understanding of that knowledge which can be developed by mantra practice.

2. Reprogram the subconscious

Science of mantra

There are very few things that we are aware of right now, many of our beliefs, emotions, reflexive actions which can be getting anxious in a particular situation, fear, anger, and what we called slip of the tongue.
and we can not understand why we behave the way we behave .this is bez of some negative programming done in the past .u can use repeating a phrase to alter that programming which no longer serves u.
Repetition is one of the best ways to let some info sink into your subconscious.
If u repeat, I am enough, I am worthy, I can do it, eventually, it will become part of your subconscious belief system and u can never get what u want but u always and only get what u believe.
Start believing u have it already have what u want.

3. language of the body

Mantra energy

A word is nothing but the combination of sounds, the sound is energy and energy is the language of the body.

very word EMOTION means energy in motion (E for energy + motion means movement).

Mantras are wildly used by Hindus, every mantra from scriptures like Vedas, Puran, Gita is designed with sophistication to produce an energy of a certain frequency to match with the frequency of the certain state of mind u want to be like the shiva mantra is used for success, Gayatri mantra for calmness.
The energy created by mantras is Used to cure diseases, the disease is nothing but blockage of energy, where energy is not flowing through which is the very nature of nature.

because the fundamental cause of disease whether mental or its effect on the physical body is stagnation of energy, which is opposite of the law of flow of nature, anything stagnant has to suffer hence moving the energy is a vital step toward a healthy body.

Some traditional mantras u can start with
  • Om chanting( king of all mantras)
  • Gayatri mantra( used for wisdom)
  • Shiva mantra(for success)
  • Ganesh mantra (for intelligence )

4. Clears the water

Proof that mantra works

Once a disciple of Buddha asked, how one can see his real nature the way it is?

To see something the way it is, u must be empty, see a tree as a tree, a human as human, a snake as snake -replied buddha.

Buddha said emptiness, the emptiness of what?-of thoughts
Mantra repetition calms down the mind, it is the practice of becoming one mind (being with one thought) and when all dust sinks in the water, water becomes clear, and now u can see through the water, what u will get is your true reflection the way u are.

Mistakes to be avoided while practising mantra (affirmations)

 1.  The first and foremost thing, mantra do not need to be a verse from scriptures.
U can come up with your mantra, it can be any positive phrase like
  • I am enough
  • I am lovable
  • I am worthy
  • I am courageous, heroic
2. For most people mantras do not work and the reason is
They do not believe what they are asserting
U spent your 10years, 20 years may be time from childhood saying
  •  I don't have a good mom
  •  my body is a shit
  •  I am a failure
  •  I always mess up
In a situation like this  when u choose your initial phrase like
  • I am fantastic
  • I am excellent
  • I have everything blessed in life

Your mind says, oh wait, wait you are lying I heard u blaming your circumstance yesterday, I listened 👂 u are a failure for 20 years
Your mind is so used to hearing negative words all the time, it can not suddenly believe the opposite.

Then what to do,

Start with a meaningful mantra-like

  • Yes, I know I am fat but I can do something of it surely.
  • I miss it today, I can ensure be on time tomorrow.
  • Say this and start thinking about what u can do now to change your future

Do this for 30-40 days and after that bring the quality of your mantra higher and deepened.

What if a thought disrupts the process?

  •    While u are practising calming your all thoughts down, there can be specific thoughts u find your mind holding on to, it can be due to the process itself or something is happening around u where your mind is programmed to think negatively. and u are finding uttering positive words difficult. So do this
  • Let thought be there
  • Watch thought without judgementit will fade away.
  • Distract yourself temporally if u are finding that it is escalating, then sometime later reflect on why this thought would have come, what is the belief behind it is.

Mindfulness can help u a lot here
Actually, affirmation practice itself is one of the types of mindfulness techniques.

I have shared here everything I have recognized by practising it, now is your time to implement it and get the taste of inner power, peace and stability.

Now,
I would like here which mantra u love and going to practice first, also bring some questions to discuss, I do not promise to solve them 100%but I can share whatever I know till now through my practices with u.
